Taking a bath isn't a selfish indulgence. True, a bath uses up to twenty gallons of water and a shower only twelve (or less with a low-flow showerhead), but if you fill the tub an inch less than your usual amount, you cut off three or four gallons. Add two cups of epsom salts and you've saved yourself a trip to the spa.
